Postal Supervisors: Obama Swipe "A Kick to the Chest"

The National Association of Postal Supervisors has fired back at President Barack Obama for dragging the U.S. Postal Service further into the health care debate. In an Aug. 14 letter, NAPS President Ted Keating accused Obama of using the Postal Service as a "scapegoat" and unfairly painting it as "an example of inefficiency" during a health care town hall meeting last week. Obama told a crowd in Portsmouth, N.H., Aug. 11 that private health care insurance providers should be able to compete with a government-run public option because "UPS and FedEx are doing just fine. . It's the Post Office that's always having problems."

Keating pointed out that UPS and FedEx revenues are falling faster than Postal Service revenues, and reiterated the overtime, management and work hour reductions the Postal Service has made over the last year: "With all of these efforts underway within the Postal Service community, it was a kick to the chest to have you take a shot at a group of federal employees who are working hard every day to support this country.

Employees of the Postal Service are largely represented by unions and management associations, all of whom strongly supported your candidacy last year. For our support we do not expect any special consideration. However, we would like to be treated fairly and not have our current situation misrepresented, especially by the Commander-in-Chief."

What Obama also ignored last week was that the Postal Service isn't on the same playing field as FedEx or UPS. The Postal Service has to contend with unions, lawmakers and the Postal Regulatory Commission and as a result, can't raise prices or close facilities on a whim the way its private-sector counterparts can when mail volume plunges.

The Lyin' Little Prick, that boy in a man's job, just keeps steppin' in it, don't he...heh, heh, heh. Damn, it's got to piss off you loony libs, knowing he's so incompetent. Pretty soon he's gonna have to do a Cigar Sniffing Slick Willy, and come out to say he's still relevant.

Who would have believed that this politician celebrated, above all, for his eloquence and capacity to connect with voters would end up as president proving so profoundly tone deaf?"--Dorothy Rabinowitz speaking of the Lyin' Little Prick

What's another name for fearmongering, incompetent nincompoop? Why, "The Lyin' Little Prick," of course. He'll soon by listed as such in dictionaries and thesauri everywhere.

Why would anyone support The Lyin' Little Prick?

I predict "My God, what did we do" voter regret , the Republicans re-taking Congress in two years, and The Lyin' Little Prick's bony *** being kicked out in four...if he survives.

It's gonna be fun watching the implosion.

What's next?
Obama typically makes his points at the expense of someone. He is perhaps the most negative and sarcastic person I have ever heard - Don Rickles minus the humor. Can you believe he's angered the United States Postal Service?
the postal service is an example of inefficiency. they're talking about stopping saturday mail delivery because they're losing so much money. and stamp prices go up all the time - but they're still losing money.

"The Postal Service says it will lose approximately $7 billion this fiscal year."

ups and fedex make tons of money, and provide great service.
If I understand Obama correctly, he's saying "don't worry about the government's involvement in healthcare being unfair to private insurance companies.....We promise the government run healthcare will be just as inefficient as the Post Office." Do I have that right? Can you believe he's angered the United States Postal Service?
First off let me just commend your entire post for a great laugh of agreement; as well as Peter Griffin's reponse.

Obama went to great lengths to try and convince the America Obama must think is so stupid to agree with his Obamacare.
Yes I can,He kicked one of His own under the bus,Lets see how many Union employee's he has made enemy's with when it comes time for reelection.
Obama is a rat who will put the blame on anyone he can just because all his stupid plans fail and has such a big ego can't admit the idiot is wrong and what makes it worse is the puppets who are brainwashed or just stupid enough to believe is lies and propaganda it is a descries
I'm not an Obama fan but the U.S. postal service was losing money even when times were good. His comparison is correct.
Well actually i beleive that it will take a year before he learns from his mistakes and we will begin to see a much improve smooth running Democratic political party emerge. So I wouldn't count him out yet. After all you guys did that seven months ago and you still haven't picked your faces off the floor.
Is this another case of Obama acting "stupidly"? Beer time again.
Obama was speaking hypothetically, because his arguement was to people who thought the Postal Service was inefficient. Although one could make that arguement, it is not that bad.
