USPS. problems with insurance?

I'm having some problems get in the insurance i start the calim on 8/30/06 and they tell me they need the shipppin code from the seller but she don't want to give it to the postal office, I already took the broken package to the post office but they don't want to give me my money. what can i do ?USPS. problems with insurance?

Well you do have to follow the requirements.



Was the package unnumbered insured or numbered insured?



If numbered insured, the blue tag has the 9-digit number on it and is attached to the package; if unnumbered insured, the seller has to send you the green insured tag.



Aha, Numbered insured. Look for the Blue Label Barcode and the nine digit number (VA 123 456 789 US)



In either case, they will need proof of value.



If the local office isn't helping, contact the local Consumer Affairs Office for more help. (That would be at a Mail Sorting Center)
