Do you think the government health insurance program will do as great a job as the government run schools &?

postal service?Do you think the government health insurance program will do as great a job as the government run schools %26amp;?
The schools in this country are so wonderful I took my kids out and home school them. I have to be able to do a better job than the schools!

Will I have that option under the government health care option? I would rather be uninsured than pay for that.
The postal service is independent...not run by the Federal government. According to the laws under which it now operates, the U.S. Postal Service is a semi-independent federal agency, mandated to be revenue-neutral. That is, it is supposed to break even, not make a profit.

The Modern Postal Service: Agency or Business?

Until adoption of the Postal Reorganization Act of 1970, the U.S. Postal Service functioned as a regular, tax-supported, agency of the federal government.

And to go further with your question....the Veterans Administration run entirely by the Federal government - Doctors, hospital and administering medical care is the BEST in the USA, according to Bill Kristol....republican columnist.

Therefore, the answer would be yes, the federal government would indeed do a better job!Do you think the government health insurance program will do as great a job as the government run schools %26amp;?
Most American kids can read and write and every letter I drop into one of those magic blue boxes shows up where I want it to go. Seniors are going to these town halls and screaming, "don't touch my Medicare" so it must be working too.

I would be thrilled to see the government run health care. The profit driven private insurance makes money denying care and costs 10 times more than Medicare to administer. I think I rather have the cost savings used to insure the health of Americans.
Well, medicare operates as a single-payer system but there is still private delivery. The state owns and operates public schools. That's a big difference. Think about state universities. Some of them (like U of M, my school) are pretty good even though they receive large sums of money from the state. Also, while the Obama plan calls for a public option to compete with private insurers, the latter will still exist. The public option will exist to stop the insurers from discriminating and denying coverage to sick people, who could in turn elect to pay higher taxes and get medicare. I think this makes sense, and is necessary. Its not a big gamble like the stimulus and TARP and the climate change bill. People who are afraid and claim this to be 'socialized medicie' are ill informed.Do you think the government health insurance program will do as great a job as the government run schools %26amp;?
If a "government health insurance program" is only 1/10th as good as our public school system, it will still be 100 times as good as the current insurance system. Tell me, how many students does our current education system kill annually? And the postal service? 鈭犅?
You mean like broke medicare, medicaid, cash for clunkers, the post office, and va?
Haven't you listened to the town halls? Government isn't going to take over health care. Now if you would just bend over so Dr. Oblahblah can have a look.
