Is this an ebay scam??

I recently posted my laptop for an auction on ebay. and one of the users just posted this as a question to me. do you think this is a scam? here it is....

" Q: Hello, I want to buy this item and pay you $700 for the item and the postage via USPS global express mail. I will greatly appreciate it if you can sell this item for me cause i am unable to wait till the end of the auction so i can't place a bid on the item. There is no need to worry as i am willing to pay all the extra charges (Postal insurance and all) that it may attract. Please add your email address when replying so i can be able to reply, you can also add the email address registered with your paypal account so as to be able to transfer funds from my account asap as the item is urgently needed. My email address/Paypal is feklyrdavis@yahoo.co.uk Jennifer Davis "Is this an ebay scam??
I go the same exact email, then she wanted me to ship the laptop to someone else in Nigere...scam
If you get paid in advance by PayPal it would be fine. If the seller wants to pay after receiving the item, kiss it goodbye before you put it in the mail because you will never see it or the money again. Is this an ebay scam??
I would ignore this and let the auction play out.

I would wonder why she cannot bid on it...that alone would set alarm bells ringing.
If u get the money to clear first I think all should be okIs this an ebay scam??
SCAM SCAM SCAM! report to E-bay and PayPal right away!

Notice how they don't specifically point out what the item is?

Thats because this is a generic generated message.
Yes, it is a scam. Never sell directly to someone who e-mails you like that - it is always a scam and it also violates e-bay rules. If they really want the item, add a buy it now option for $700.00 and tell them they can buy it that way.
Yes this is a scam. Any emails sent you from this person can be done directly through ebay there is no need for any additional information on your part. The person is going to con you out of your computer and the money will not be transfered. Never give anyone any information regarding your paypal account, if they can't pay you thru ebay to your account don't do the sale. This person appears to be trying to gain access to your paypal account. Never believe somone who can't wait until the end of auction. Especially for something that there is a ton of listings for.

Good luck
I have had ebay scams before, but this one certainly sounds different. However, the fact that she wants to terminate the bidding early makes you wonder. What is your lap top worth? Would you anticipate it going higher? Do you have a buy it now offer? I would still do this within Ebay's policy. With her in the UK, I would certainly know that if she were purchasing this from the US that it would be certainly very affordable for her with the cost of pound against the dollar. They also have differences in their electrical current so it would perhaps have to be run on a transformer. One thing that you might do is check out her Paypal to be sure she is verified. Again, don't do this without being compliant with Ebay's policy.
def let the auction go through u might get more money
