Shipping a package to a military?

I need to ship a package that is 34"L x 12"W x 8"H via USPS Priority Mail. It weighs about 12 pounds. I'll need to purchase insurance on it, and it's going to New York (through an APO, so that it can be sent to Germany) from Atlanta, Georgia.

Approximately how much should I charge the person for this shipping? The postal calculators are not helping me on the USPS website. Anyone?Shipping a package to a military?
You will only have to pay the postage on it to get it to the APO New York. Overseas rates do not apply, although you will have to complete a customs declaration for the package.

The USPS site should provide the information you need. I used to ship stuff to my son's APO via Priority Mail all the time.
Send it at the regular rate, insure for the value of the goods shipped.

It probably takes 3 days to get to NY, then once its in the Military Postal system, there's no telling how long it takes to make it to Germany! approximately another 3-5 days?!Shipping a package to a military?
Charge the amount it takes to get the package to New York. The military transports the package from there..
its domestic postage..so if plugging the in the APO Zip doesn't work, plug in a NYC zip instead.Shipping a package to a military?
